Beyond Ebay has received a ton of attention in the marketplace. It was, for a while a very hot item and did very well circulating through the auctions. The author of the book, David Espino, is a very decent chap who places a great deal of emphasis on how much your attitude and expectations can affect you as you start a home business.

He got his start in the home business game by selling collectible Hot Wheels, known as Red-Lines. Apparently, this particular product is an extremely popular and time-tested collectable. He did well enough to quit his day job in Sales for a large corporation and has spent the last 18 months working out of his Home Office. He has a e-commerce site where he sells his wares and continues to build his opt-in e-mail list. For all intents and purposes, he is very happy, admittedly not rich but comfortable, and enjoys his self-proclaimed Home Business Lifestyle to the fullest.

The product is delivered as an E-Book (It was originally paper and ink, until he wised up!) for less than $30.00. It contains 8 sections, each broken down into his key concepts about starting a Home Based Business via the On-Line auction industry.

The first chapter is sort of a "What are YOUR dreams, and what you can do about them..." Rah-rah... It laments the deterioration of the typical corporate job, tells a tragic story about a friend of his who lost a 6 figure position, and how the Big Corporations don't really care about you or your dreams and desires.

The next few chapters talk about the growth of the internet and explosion of On-Line auctions and how important it is for Home Business owners to take advantage of the internet.

The next few chapters are an account of how he took advantage of his hobby and saw big profits from selling not only his Hot Wheel Collection, but posters of the Fonz that he found at a yard sale.

The final few chapters are advice and recommendations of products and services that he has used to capitalize on his auctions, the importance of having your own web site and how important it is to back end market to your list of customers and opt-in mail list.

Finally, he has a resource index of the most popular Home Based Internet Business Systems, hosting & auction service providers and products that are currently being offered on the web (Most of which are reviewed on this site).

Beyond Ebay is a PERFECT example of how someone with knowledge and passion was able to create a digital product and make gobs of money with it.

Beyond Ebay should be an example of a product that we should all strive to create, and hopefully, surpass.

Beyond Ebay does something that we often forget about here in the tenacious world of web marketing and home based business; it speaks to the lowest common denominator of the Home Based Hopefuls who are looking for a product that tells them "Yes, YOU CAN DO IT!".

Its interesting how much time all of us who try to be good stewards to the Work at Home industry spend creating and selling our stuff to the upper crust of the marketplace.

We write and research and sweat and test and loose money and toil and Joint Venture.....And all of the sudden, this guy comes along and writes a simple little e-book with an ass-kickin' title and sells it to anyone who can read-anyone who wants to know anything about auctions. Forget target market! How many of us have day-dreamed about finding that perfect product and then find the perfect wholesaler of that product and then selling it for huge mark-ups so we can sway back and forth in our hammock counting our cash?

So, he broke all the rules and wrote a product that can appeal to EVERYBODY, like tooth past appeals to us when we get up in the morning!

Do I like the product? It's fine. It's short, simple, basic, and contains relevant information in little tiny amounts.

But simply because it has the merit of being spartan, short, and VERY successful - it's fun to look at. If you do, I hope you think "I can do THIS!"

I'd like to call Beyond Ebay "The Pet Rock" of the digital age, but it's not. It's more like the Razor scooter.
